Distinguishing between the different pins on the map was done by using the home screen colour pallet in the final outcome.

This feature was input in order to prevent people waiting too long without a response.
Inital Map Designs
An initial idea to bring more engagement towards users wanting to meet people in there community was to introduce the map as a colouring goal.
As people made interactions with one another each house visited would fill with colour. Depending what was exchanged would determine the colour of the house. Each colour would refer back to the original home page colour pallet, where by food was categorised in colours.
This idea was critiqued as the app's main personality is to be clean and simple, adding in this feature risked it becoming too complicated and also would only work if everyone in the area used the app.
