Sustainability
It’s not just green
Environmental – damage to the planet
Social – developing sustainability between
people in a way that works and is respected
Economic – allows for the right amount of
growth in the market
To be sustainable is to be all three
Practical and achievable
How does sustainability relate to ethics?
What is the relationship?
It’s about looking forward into the future
Being good.
A part of ethics
Sustainably is more specific and relates
more directly towards function
When engaging with any particular project
considering approaches and ideas change between projects therefore factoring sustainability
changes too. E.g. packaging will have more attention than other projects
perhaps.
