Within
my process of constructing my typeface emerged new ideas such as these blocked
out letters. Before
making
a clipping mask of my individual letters, a blocked out circle with very
minimal detail of the edge of a letter was displayed. I found this a very
interesting visual as it loses the form of the letter completely leaving the
letter so unrecognisable it almost appears
as a symbol. If I were to take this project further I would have created
another typeface with all the letters in this bold blocked out style, this
typeface could be a successful in branding. I would also spend more time
refining the edges of the letters on illustrator by adjusting the handles and
anchors.
