Incorporating the logo into the Book

Keeping the identity of Dimensions is important as the publication acts as part of it.
Therefore using the colour scheme, font and logo achieves this, using other design options would risk it looking separated from the festival. From research of other publications, usually the first page is blank, with this in mind having a simple page with just the logo seemed to work aesthetically, the logo had also not been included elsewhere in the book.

Using the logo as a navigation tool.
An idea that was considered was to place the logo in the conner of each page and have it either white - for the DJ's, or black for the festival photography. This aimed to bring order and consistency and with the book having a large content it would allow readers to flick through the corner pages and navigate across through the book easier.

An issue with this was that on pages with photography at full bleed, the logo wasn't as clear as others. Also having both the logo and pages numbers made the design seem too busy. The personality of the book aims to be more minimal in order to focus the attention on the DJ's, therefore this idea was questioned.

Page numbers
Shifting the pages number up to the middle edge of the page was done to make room for the logos on the corner. With the text layout always being aligned on the left, having the numbers on the bottom, meant that for every right page the numbers would  have to be placed to the right of the page. This disrupted the left alignment and moving the page numbers to the centre worked better.

Another idea was to use the logo as a frame for the page numbers.
