Prototype
Printing costs
- printed out smaller to reduce printing costs
- All together it costed
- Practiced perfect binding - as there were few pages as only the first interview was printed, the binding was difficult as this technique requires a large quantity of pages.
- Tried to visualize what having the book tape would do for the aesthetic or having it without.
Experimenting with different paper-stocks
- I found that the printer does not print double-sided on glossy paper. To solve this issue it was suggested to try using Laminate as it could be stuck onto to give this effect.
- I found that some paper worked better than others for the photographs.
-it was difficult use paper stocks with contrasting textures as they didn't print double sided
- I chose Matt Canvas for the front cover as it was very textured - it being textured was an important design decision as it reflects the idea of feeling the music as well as the book being made up of different paper samples, in which reflect the idea that DJ's sample music.
