DJ Directory (In Partnership with Smirnoff)

Short description of publication (purpose)

DJ Directory (In Partnership with Smirnoff) celebrates the continuous efforts and support of underground music.  The Directory aims to shine a spotlight on some of the best unsigned yet burgeoning DJ talent around the works that Dimensions family and friends have been lucky enough to play with and listen to.  It provides a platform for producers, labels and promotors to find out about these unsigned DJ’s by the festival and partners.

The partnerships with Smirnoff allows the Directory to expand the scope and reach, connecting the project and DJ’s to an international platform of voice to showcase their talents to a wider audience.

The publication will explain visually what the Directory is and how it has an impact as a platform for these up and coming DJ’s following the DJ Directory guidelines.  

Target Audience -

Similar to the demographic of Dimensions Festival; 22-35 year olds, 45% UK, 55% ROW (France, Germany, Croatia, Italy Netherlands).  However not directed at those at Dimensions, more specifically those that didn't make the festival but share an interest in the culture.

Positioning (USP, bookshop section, other points of sale)

Would be promoted on social media sites linked to the Dimensions Festival as an extension of the event’s merchandise.  Would not be placed in bookshops similar to Waterstones or WHSmith’s.  Would be more tailored towards music specific venues or interest.  In Leeds for example: Headrow House and Belgrave Music Hall.  

Price point

A price range between £4-7 will be set but a bundle could possibly be introduced when considering ‘deals’.  The price range is not a reflection of the content only, more of the production labour, materials used and time taken.
