OBLIGATION Evaluation

Obligation Evaluation

The research has played a major role in the success of this project. Game culture was initially approached by me and Georgia with negative assumptions, then from researching in depth into this subject we saw it as positive tool to create change. This project demonstrates how researching a project widely can lead to unlikely paths.

The ongoing research throughout this project has led to an informed final outcome that cleverly combines two unlikely subjects. Research also built up an understanding of appropriate, language, video editing and design aesthetics to achieve an effective video and campaign material suited to our target audience.

As this project operates within a game context and an environmental one, finding balance between these was down to being selective with language, visuals and timing within the video.

Research has not only lead to an innovative project but also helped find innovative ways to present it to its audience. This project has developed into real-life situations such as a protest and lead to discussions directly with our audience.

The project is made up of many outcomes a video, photography, infographics, stickers, flyers and posters but the main outcome of this project was the ability to reach out to an audience of gamers and change their perceptions.

Combining unlikely subjects is a technique I would use again as brings a new perspective to a subject.

This project has the potential to have a great impact and was entered for the creative conscious completion and hopes this could be a platform to get it noticed.
